I recognize the curious intent
Of those interim considerations
That are there despite efforts to prevent
The inevitable combination.
For principle to the theory I propose
Is that life holds options that are not held
But converge as one, as I suppose
And moral and conviction sometimes meld.
I do not resist the more passive road
That often comes with interim mistakes
As life goals may shift, but do not erode,
By relying on the road's turns and breaks.
In gaining this relative perspective,
I see the intent and not the objective.
