Up - Down
All around
Yellow, green and red

Up - Down
Above the ground
For your dinner's bread

So, to eat this night
You'll get it right
Drop them not at all

Their coin to spend
Your meal depends
On three little balls

Good going! It's so true, you captured this reality very effectively. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Some people just seem to manage to make a decent poem out of just about anything...

My thanks to both of you. Your praise is the coin of the realm.
Nan - thanks for the juggler. But shouldn't that one ball be yellow instead of blue?

I agree.. this piece is lovely. I have a thing for jester's...I don't know why. You've done their noble spirit proud.

Bravo!

Christina

Terrific poem! Something out of the ordinary yet of the ordinary...keep your balls aloft!

Love this! If this hasn't already struck familiar ground with the series I've been reading, The Wheel of Time. Boys depending on juggling balls and playing flutes for their meals. How about four balls?
