My Mother? Dead.
My father? The convicted.
My life? Ruined.
I can’t even walk down the street
Before I break down and weep.
All I have left is my mind
Because my eyes are so blind;
My hands so cold;
My ears like mould.
I can only think of the trees
Holding the crisp breeze.
Think about the sunset.
No goals of mine have been met.
I have to get away from this pain
Hop on a Sydney train
And run from my tears
Bad memories from all these years.
My dad has been jailed.
Because my mother’s life has failed.
Left by myself all alone
No communication but a phone
No one to teach me to laugh
Or even to have a bath.
No one to wake me with the sun-rise.
My agony comes with no surprise.
When I pat a dog on its head
I have no feeling and think its dead.
With my soda there is no cream.
When I sleep there is no dream.
If I want I cannot smile
Because my happiness is not versatile.
I look in the fridge there’s nothing to eat;
I look outside there’s no one to meet.
I go to school everyday
And learn as I may.
But there’s is no pride and joy
Because I am not considered a boy.
Who can I call a friend?
Everyone has left once again.
Who are these people that teach?
What they do is preach.
They say that we are alive, happy and free.
Can they teach when they don’t even know me.
Look at my life it’s a mess.
Look at me can’t even dress.

Hey guys/gals!!! -> Thanx for the boost of confidence!!! => Sure my poem may have been a little on the 'gloomy' side but I wrote this poem when I was feeling that way ~> I find it brings out your TRUE emotions -> And no Sunsshine, I don't alwayz write this way...Just take a look at my signature => Hope you have a few tears and laughs ~> After all, what is this world without some mixed feelings every now and again!?!?

Hey Poet deVine, I just noticed your post straight after I posted my last one and thought I'd reply to yours -> I'm glad you liked my poem and sorry 'bout the web page => I believe that poetry is not neccessarily set out in verses and stanzas but it is the manipulation of words to create or evoke an emotion ~> And in my new web page you should get an emotion that makes you laugh or makes you think that I'm some sort of losty!!! -> It's at http://www.geocities.com/tokyo/highrise/4112/ Enojy and I hope you'll be kind enough to send it to anyone you know that has a sense of humor!!!

Dear Mr_Squint

I'm sorry to say I spoke right away
and didn't deliver the humor right;
just so you know, I read your prose
and looking for more for insight.

It was well done. Sorry I didn't get that across to you...sometimes I think anyone can read my mind, and it's only me listening to the whispers in my head. Looking forward to much, much more.

Greetings Sunshine -> I'm glad to be glad that you're glad about my poem => I saw the sunny side of your reply but I just wasn't sure if you liked it or not ~> I am currently working on another poem thanx to the numerous replies that I've received -> But I DO feel kind of wierd being a 16-turning-17 year old poet!!! => Still, I'll try to keep the poems coming ~> Sorry if I'm going to dissapoint you but the next poem isn't very 'up' -> It's just that I find more emotional-realtions with the 'down' kind of poems!!! => So, I'm sorry about that.

Squint, I wrote many dark poems as a young teen...and I am looking forward to seeing many more postings from you. We're all simply glad to have you here. GB, Sunshine.
