Robes of pure white can't hide the truth
The secrets revealed in those hands
They tell the tale of long lost youth
In which illusions can't withstand
Waving her hands deftly through autumn's air
She has captured my heart and will not share

A mime not one to trust in sight
Peers through an unseen door to watch
Her hands make life as doves take flight
A silent curse to his fifth of scotch
Her charm enthralls them just as she demands
And no one will question those withered hands

Enchanted place is but her stage
I can see her eyes understand
Though her body appears not age
This final act has taken her hands
I ponder on this long after we part
She's traded her love for that in my heart

Liked this much, Walt, so I'm sending it up to the top so everyone else can see it!

God bless America, my home sweet home.
