Emotion Potion

And only angels see
What the mind bereaves.
Taken on up
The pain floats in the sky.
Fallen to the ground.
A tear falls from your eye.

Balanced is what we are.
Kept from floating away.
By the gravity of our emotions
Mixed inside as secret potions.
On raven's wings we carry them wary
That sometimes they may get scary.

Wisdom is our only ally.
Knowledge is our only insight.
We focus on these to get through the day.
Not listening to what our emotions say.

Consistently angry.
Persistently loved.
Our conscience is weak.
And all of the above.

A wonderful play of words. I felt the poem moved well..(is that what they call well metered?) Anyway, thank you for sharing this. Nice work.
