Alone she sits in darkness
A single tear falls to her chest
Wouldn't it be grand for all
If she'd just be laid to rest

Oh let me be, I'm worthless
Is her passionate cry
I'm not worthy of their love
Though I give, I give, I try.

Her cloud of thoughts loom overhead
And now she cannot see
The sun behind those thunderous clouds
That will come and set her free.

Her days stretch into months
Her months stretch into years
The one that she holds dear to heart
Cannot relieve her fears.

A prayer is all I have to give
To get through and make her see
That when she thinks she’s all alone
She’s got the Lord and me.

Welcome joyfull! All of us at times feel undeserving... you have captured that feeling in this poem. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

I LIKE this Joyfulltune! I've read two of your postings now and both were excellent. Thanks for sharing them.
