My Heart’s Only Quest©1999 Genea Parker The saddest thing I can imagine Is being a part of your past, Living days and nights wondering Wondering why we did not last. Living life in solitude In a cold lonely place, A woman with no one to love And no friendly face. Promise me it won’t happen. Promise me forever is ours. That what we have now Was written in the stars. I’ll believe it if you say One word and my doubts are gone. Look me in the eye, my dear Tell me I’ve been wrong.
