Like a fool,
I still keep hoping
Even after all hope is gone,
That you haven't moved on.
I still keep searching
For my happy ending,
Even as you turn your back,
Even as my world goes black.
I still keep hoping,
As I recount our memories,
That you love me still...
That you'll come back to me.
All I want now
Is to just let go;
But my love for you lives on,
Even though yours is gone.
Since you left,
All the color has drained
From every rainbow--
I just thought you should know.
But like a fool,
I keep reaching for your love,
Knowing that nothing is there--
I might as well be grasping air.
In the daytime
Every thought is of you;
Every hour drags on
Since you've been gone.
Each lonely night
You occupy my dreams;
And though I try not to think of you;
It's hard 'cause my heart's broken in two.
Like a fool
Who believes in fairytales,
I foolishly keep on tending
My wish for a happy ending.

TO CHRIS... I miss you

Few things hit harder than naked emotions laid down on paper. I see you there. You have my congratulations....and my sympathy.

Thanks, Balladeer... for listening, as well as seeing. I am glad that you took the time to read and respond. Thanks again, for your kind words.
