In the space between moments

Beyond the rolling clouds of white,
I see a beautiful land, lustrous and bright.
Upon the soft wings of the wind I fly,
Longing to know the land below, wondering if I should dare to try.

I gaze at grand waterfalls, oceans, and eyes in the mist,
And down I descend, unable to resist.
I leave the coldness of Earth behind,
To know the purest of souls, the ones like mine.

A unicorn greets me, eyes shining like stars,
And she instantly knows I have come from afar.
Her melodious voice whispers in the wind,
And she offers me her love, for we are of kin.

I follow the gentle being into the night,
Her horn, ribboned in gold, is my guiding light.
A shower of fairies show us the way,
They guide us to the forest, for there I shall forever stay.

I have never left this beautiful place,
Never again laid eyes on another human face,
For I am the chosen one of this land of eternity,
I am the Unicorn Princess, I love all that I see.

Alwye,
Great poem. I go there too...

Magic Place

There is one forest I know well
All damp and dark and magical
With fairy rings and little folk
And unicorns and whisps of smoke
Where wizards live and dragons too
And rabbit holes that go right through
The Earth and to the other side
A magic place I go to hide.

I have read all your poems and I really like them. I share the same dream somewhat, in a distant manner, lacking some of the mythical creatures you spreak of so well in your poetry, unicorns and fairies, but the land is almost the same. Well, maybe time by time, I do have one of the mythical creatures in my poems, although I think more of elves. I have one poem I would like to show you that shows that I somewhat have similar fantasy to yours.

A Little Fire in the Hills

Many crystals fell yet were stilled,
so befell that summer night star-filled
in dreams under the elm
where green-elves dwell in realm,
a flickering light did dance
and swiftly turned and ran hence,
upon light feet more airy than sky,
and bright stars in her eye;
but now her great voice rang forth
in ebullient glory, knowing mirth,
and while she sang she danced
on glittering pearls with soft heed;
around her the trees bright stood tall
in the darkness yet as a wall
in a watery paradise, for in images
and weaving cloud of mirages,
the land was hidden from Mortal sight,
so only in the wan night
when tales speak of it, once in a while,
a little fire is heard in the hill.

I hope it wasn't a silly version of my uncontrolled imagination!

No, it wasn't silly at all! You share the same dream of such a place as I do. Thanks for your words.

Alwaye, This was delightful, it took me into the journey of your dream, thanks for the escape from reality.
