She holds the key to his heart
I hold his hand as we say goodbye
She has his heart,
I have his hand.
Regardless his feelings
I know she will still get him
It sounds like he's a package
And this, my dear, is true
He's a package indeed, a package
filled with warmth, I wish I could
hold the key
As I held his hand, but
Gently we pass eachother
and then
Say Goodbye

Someone using your name commented to me that they wished they could write better. I couldn't have been you. Not if you can write like this........

Augchic711,

I must say that I utterly enjoyed this so much. Your use of imagery was outstanding. We are always so much harder on ourselves than anyone else is. I have only read this one poem by you. I can tell you are a very talented writer. You keep on keeping on. I can't wait to see what else you have got in you. You are an outstanding poet.

I like your work!! you write so well and so from the heart. I used to write poetry constantly when I was your age and then life got ahead of me and I stopped. Now 8 years later, college, a husband, and two babies I am finally jumping back into what I live to do most! Keep it up, it sure is hard to get back into the mode once you've stopped.

How many times have I been in this situation?
Passed over by the only one you could ever want?
And yet, magically, I found mine for the first time.
You are talent to be reckoned with. I hope we can talk sometime and compare heartache and maybe, healing.

Being new to the forums, this is the first piece of yours I read. I think I'll rummage a bit further into the archives for more.
