String 'Em Up

Once upon a warm blizzard's night.
I looked into the lion's soul full of fright.
He spoke accusing of dastardly deeds.
My heart hung down amidst the weeds.
Although I crouched attempting to hide
His eyes pierced deeper and deeper inside.
Flipping through the files in my brain.
Which I could no longer contain.
He was trying guilty and innocent man
Whom he'd rather maim than believe in.

Father get out of my head.
I sometimes wish that you were dead.
Standing upright and firm from a dangling tree.
I'd simply laugh when you'd try to get free.
But you'll never be free of me the tree
I'll strangle you with my memory.
And only then will you see,
That you'll never be free of me.

Take a chunk out of your heart so everyone can see the cancerous black.
And give it to me, 'cause its my favorite midnight snack.
Then look in the mirror and watch your face melt.
As you face the wrath of my poison belt.
Taste the sweetness of its soothing sting,
And cry out with your voice and sing
Of the redemption I've rightfully won.
And of me, your loving son.
