His name came to me through a gentle summer breeze.
A voice near a whisper. A hearts silent plea.
A magical union powerless through vast space.
Twilight questions of what brought us to this place.

Overwhelming mystery makes it hard to stay away.
A time, a place and where to meet...I would choose the day.
Imprisoned by the longing, fate finally tips his hat.
Four rings you see won't stop us..it's far too late for that.

His eyes capture mine. First kiss ensued thereafter.
I drown within his soul right then...amidst the nervous laughter.
Abundant time was not ours. It ended all too soon.
Brief meetings we shall only have each night amongst the moon.

Sally, this is a beautiful poem. I know the emotions expressed in the poem. Very well said. Thank you.

it strikes me as a forbidden type of occurance. not sure of what nature...but haveing whatever logic within one's self not stopping from making a decision to continue with this brief but intense moment....i liked it very much...having a lot left to the imagination of what exactly brings someone to this point was what i enjoyed most.

Thank you for the comments. I truly appreciate the feedback..I was beginning to wonder if I still had the talent (giggle).
Lately, my poetry has been my emotional outlet. It's always nice to see someone connect with my work. Thank you again.

happiness, sadness...pleasure, despair...passion and regret...your poem has it all. A fine job.
