If IRC chat or JAVA chat could be embedded into any of the site's pages, then there could be a Poetry LIVE page where artists can perform in real time.
This could have 2 applications - one where there is a group dynamic, a flow of input from several artists in tandem, where they keep the work growing by adding to it in turns, the other could be a solo stage where each artist performs their impromptu verse for the audience.

No one would have to worry about coming up with something brilliant and then losing it, because with logging turned on ( ala IRC ) everything that gets typed is saved to a log file on the artists HDD, thus it is there to save and post later should they wish to do so.

Just thought this might be an exciting way to liven the place up and provide a more instant and personal level of interaction between members.
