Along with having the font, color, and centering of the poem, it is also a good idea to add bold, underline, italic, and shadow.   It would also be nice to be able to see your smilies, add more fonts, and change the size.  Maybe we can do these things already,  but if we can it would be a lot better to have it displayed along with all the other formatting tools.  So that it can be right at our reach when editing what we are writing.

you can do italic

you can do bold too

I know some folks know how to underline, I haven't got that figured out yet LOL

the best way to see how i did it is to go to the edit button on my post and click on it and it will show you how I did it. any time you see something cool someone did like that, just click their edit button and it will show you how to do it

Well let me see here: (remember to look inside of this post by clicking the 3rd icon above.)

To change font size - use this command it works just fine and when you are done - undo it like this hidden command.

To change font style - use this command to change it - sure works for me.  Then just change your font face and off you go ...

Now, font colors are my favorite: I loveto change colors especially on the the 4th of JULY!

To underline you simply use this - and that works perfectly well, and undo, much the same way.

There are great commands right here on the site for you to learn in the Member's Area/Help under two categories: (click the links below)

Using HTML, and also Using UBB Code:

/pip/guidelines/ubbcode.html

/pip/guidelines/html.html

Ron, made a ton of pages to help people figure out how to do "exactly" what they would like to do on here within reason.  I think sometimes we forget about all the other pages of value on this site, including the main site, and tend to gravitate to the poetry pages. I found out all this stuff by dedicating one or two visits to really see what was here at Passions and use what was available to me.  I actually am having a hard time leaving those pages now and returning to post poetry, lost ma muse somewhere along the way in the corridors.

Good luck creating!

Hmmm... seems like a lot of crazy codes to remember.

LOL, well nothing in this life comes easily, and if it does, it just ain't worth having.  The joy is in the journey m'friend.  It's fun, try some, and make yourself a handy little sheet with them in front of you, so you can access it easily.  Here is a sweet site that helps you out beautifully, at the bottom under HTML Help.

and,

Here is a quick way to figure out your color codes too.  Just pick a color and copy that code into your font color command.

If you do insert any graphics kindly remember to give the artist credit, they are actually just poets with paintbrushes.

Your post made me smile a little as in the beginning I was all about the glitz and glamor of the post, but soon realized it was a lot of work, and started spending more time on the words, and less on the glitz.  I am still nuts about graphics and such though.

By the way, your home used to be my home away from home, and I hope you all stay SO safe come storm time.  This world is getting really weather-worried.
