When you reply to a poem and submit your reply, PIP brings you always back into the same poem's topic and then you have to click on the forum again in order to be able to choose another poem to read.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could choose wether we want to stay in that topic or want to go back to the forum directly?

This switching takes an awfull lot of my precious (and costly) internettime away.
When I've read a poem and replied to it, I don't need to return to it again as far as I'm concerned.

As I said....just a thought.

I like it how it is and can think of a few good reasons why it’s built that way. Going back to the topic you’ve posted to gives you a chance to check that your post was actually posted; that what you posted was understandable and made sense, and that it wasn’t riddled with spelling and grammatical errors.

Giving an either or option, which is presumably what you’re suggesting, would either entail the insertion of another page displaying the options or some major juggling with the cookies to select and keep your preference. Unless of course you set it in the user profile, but whichever way you look at it it would, in the long run, require more work for the server.

Of course this is only my uneducated guess, I’m sure Ron can elucidate far better than I can on the technical implications.

Crazy Eddy, I've been on other sites that have that option. You have to click it to stay in the same topic, if you don't you're back in the forum.

I've never experienced that my reply wasn't there where I put it.

This optional click would mean a lot of extra minutes of internet time for me...and others I suppose, because reloading the pages everytime take minutes.

We'll see what Ron has to say.
