I think it'd be extremely useful to have a way to see, on the forum page, the poems to which you have or haven't replied.  When I run through I like to see that I'm not missing any, and it's usually guesswork to see which ones I haven't yet replied to.  If there was something on the forum page, like a check mark next to each post, it would be extremely helpful.

I wonder if this would be difficult to work out.  I doubt it, though, as we already have folder colours based on whose reply was the last... which is almost as useful, but not as reliable (it's unpredictable how often I even see those colours).

Thoughts?

i've been here a year and a half [or something to that effect] and i didn't even know we had different coloured folders next to the topics.

It seems to me that if you are skimming poems so lightly you don't even remember what youve replied to, then the issue isn't the software.

No Hush, it's not that... I posted this a long time ago when I used to reply to absolutely everything in Teen Poetry, and I didn't remember the poems by their titles on the actual page.  I tend to only see the titles as I click on the poem and then not relate them to the poem itself.

Sure I could open every one up and remember each one individually, but when you reply as much as I used to it gets difficult to remember each and every one (especially in teen, where the titles usually aren't that memorable).  I was also thinking it would be easier to have something stick out at you exclusively (the folder colours would be nice if they worked a little better), when you look at the page, instead of reading every title and thinking whether or not you've read it.

It's no longer an issue.  And I'm confident that I do not read poems "lightly," thanks very much.

it is a good idea as i too often forget which poems i've replied to.

every other member on the site has written something entitled 'why?' [and it drives me nuts].

it's nearly impossible to distinguish poems by their subject title's alone.

Bumping this partly because I think it deserves current consideration, and because I'd like to add my two-cents-worth.... I'd like to be able to pull a list of poems I've replied to, because I want to go back easily and see if the writer has responded to me.

Rat,
Go to "Smart Search".
You can pull up a list there.

If a poet has most recently responded to comments on their thread, the folder beside that poem will appear as "gray" rather than orange or yellow...

Mine too..

I often read a poem/thread many times before I can respond to it and sometimes think I responded and didn't.

Anything that will tickle the greymatter would be a benefit.
