Ron,  I would rather pay an anuual subscription to post here than to be subjected to that flashing red banner. It actually causes a visual disturbance, and a whole body reaction close to a spasm or seizure. Maybe I am the only one affected by this. The other banners do not "attack" me thusly. Is there any way I can bypass them??? I am serious, this one banner disturbs me almost to the point of not being able to post after I see it.

Thanks, Serenity and DeVine one! I was beginning to think it was just me! Please, Ron, can we 86 that horrible banner?
Can I just send you a Pips subscription and not be subjected to all these other distractions and visually offensive ads?

It is probably the most irritating one yet but you know I bet any faithful Passions Poet would gladly pay a monthly fee if needed and isn't that a nice thought to know!

Titia, save me some of that Dutch money   If Ron doesn't take it, I will. Euro dollars now, huh? Changes in the world again.

I'm sure if I wrote to our ad network, I could convince them to remove an annoying banner. No problem, there.

But I have a request, too. There's a poem in Open with 7,852 bytes in it that needs an edit from the author? Would someone please tell them?

(Hint. I haven't seen a flashing red banner. Just a little bit more information would make it MUCH easier to find.   )

Thank you for your time, Ron. The banner in question has a message "if you see this flashing you have won" or something like that anyway.
And a poem with so many bytes? Ouch, that is a lot of space to chew up for one poem!
Any more hints as to where it might be found?

LOL - the 7,852 byte poem was a joke!

It was supposed to dramatize how difficult it can be to find something with too little information.

I just loaded IE (which often gets different banners than my usual Netscape), and went through about 20 pages. Seems like the only banner loading for me is the one for matchmaker.com. Still haven't seen the flashing red one yet. Before I can do anything, I need to find out who it belongs to. I have a tendency to "tune out" the banners, but now that I'm watching for it …

LOL, you bit me that time. I was flabbergasted by the byte number.
I'll click on that banner next time I see it. It was there this morning. Thanks for the joke, and your patience and concern. but I'm serious about the donation, even though I am currently out of work, I run a tight enough ship that I can always shake a dollar loose. (How many bytes did I just use up?)
No need to reply, thanks for your time.

ROTFL@Ron and Midnitesun

Umm..I know that banner is annoying, but I'm thankful for them because they provide a means for Passions to be here.   Let me be the first to disagree about the fee to this place! I'd rather click the banners!

I am many.

I'm with you Siofra, banking Euro's into Dollars is not such fun, for it would cost me twice the amount you will be paying.

I'll click the banners a bit more Oké?
I'm good at clicking you know since I have a clicking penmouse

LOL Titia

LOL, Titia, you have been clicker trained! Actually, removal of that one banner would really be more than enough for me. I love this site, and if necessary, I'll rush past that flashing stop sign so fast it'll make your head spin....like it does mine right now.

PdV... that link doesn't even stop at one... when you close the newly opened window, it throws another one at you.... and another... pretty darn annoying... I must say... I just did say that!

Yes, DeVine and Sudhir are right! I "captured" the annoying one, and it is Useful.com, and it links together at least three if not more banners, and keeps coming back at you with spam emails. I had to request my addreess be removed at least 10 times already from all those connecting links, and I still got another new one this morning! And they all seem to originate from that one not-so-useful-to-me link. Thanks Ron, for your anticipated intervention.
