(I sent an e-mail to Ron about this the other day but I know he's busy so . . . I'll toss this out and troll it awhile to see if there is any interest.) I'd have to say that I've probably been more passionate about the goings on around me on the planet than about the humans in my life. I've even resorted, on occasion, to explaining myself as a misanthrope, given my views about what we humans have been doing here. But there is far more to it than that. My point here today is only this. I would like to see a new forum, one "dedicated", if you will, to the expression of passions for planet earth. Now I know what some of you are thinking, and that's not what I'm thinking, but that's okay. Just for a clue, here's where I'm coming from. I grew up in an ag related family business, I tried to be a hunter, (because it was the family thing to do but I wasn't good at it), I was politically active and a "street protester" about human care-less environmental issues, and have been a professional manager of what's left of our native biological communities. We all come from different places in this sense, but we are all stuck here on this planet, and we all ought to be passionate about it, imho. So, what think you all? Could you write about this, would you write about it, do you care? (Do you know what I'm talking about?) Is PIP the place for this? Thanks, Kraw' |

I agree whole heartedly.  I am very passionate about nature and the planet so I'd love to see a forum for it. I am no one if not myself. Angel of Darkness |
