It was just a suggestion. I think these three types are very special and deserve a separate area, just like free verse is different from rhyme.
I became interested in haiku recently--it's the zen in me, I guess. I see a lot of interest by a few others also and thought maybe we could delve into it deeper. Most people don't understand haiku. I've seen many attempts at it--some very good--some not so good--and some, just not quite getting it. Maybe some people think it might be childish to write what seems like short insignificant little nothings. Actually, in its simplicity, it's really quite complex and the child-like nature within it's complexity, is what makes such beatiful zen. It's done wonders for my writing. It's kind of like, just before an artist creates a great work, he first sketches his thoughts on a napkin. Many of my poems came about from a little haiku sketch, so to speak.
I just think there's an awful lot to learn from haiku and would like to see more done with it.
