Why don't we start our own Passions Poetry Web Ring?  I don't know anything about starting a webring but there's plenty of talent in here, I'm sure someone knows how to do it.  We could set up guidelines (a member in good standing to join the webring), it would help promote the forums.

I've been trying to find a webring to join to help increase traffic to my site.  I want to be joined with other good poets (Yes, I'm vain, I consider myself good).  Have you seen some of the stuff out there?  Not what I'd want to be associated with.  What better way to be linked with my poetic peers than with a webring?

What do you guys think?

I suggested this some time ago...I guess we can look into it further!

Sounds OK to me....except for...having to edit my pages again...bleah!

And, I'm a self-admitted slacker.  If someone else can come up with the code and gif's, I'll cut and paste and have that notepad HTML editing done in a flash.

On a side note..I think this would be a good idea.  Many poets here also have websites with links to other websites of other poets here at PiP.  Seems to me there could be an easier way to do this...although, it would mean more work for some, who, like me, seriously need to update their pages.

Lazy bones!  I know nothing of the work involved in maintaining a website.  I am lucky enough to have a great friend who does that for me.    Nanny nanny boo boo!

It is alright Alicat.  I am in your boat.  I am a typical lazy American.  Well some will debate the typical part but all agree on the lazy part.

If you like, I'll begin it...I know where to go to log it and I'll send everyone the code to put at the bottom of their web pages...but we have to get Ron's ok to use the name! I personally would love to see the Ring called "Passions in Poetry Webring"...but we can't assume he would let us do that...so can you come up with any other suggested names?

Sharon, that'd be great.  Could you talk to Ron for us?  I really don't know how to contact him.

Barring his approval at using the name and logo for PiP, we can all brainstorm for other name ideas.  I'm horrible at picking names. I'll get back to you on this.

Both Michael's and my websites already proudly sport the LOGO....
...linking back to Passions... and informally link to lots of our poets... I'll be working on updating my site next week, and I'd be happy to contribute whatever info everyone needs to get this rolling....

Michael is researching this now. In a few weeks or so (depending on how many sites he has to look at), we should begin...

I know many have posted their URL's in the Announcment and Link forum...perhaps we should find a way to have ONE thread with all the URL's of those that wish to participate? What do you think?

I would love to be included...that however would mean that my out of time butt would have to do some updates also over one of my breaks (as if I have so many) that is if you guys think my writing is up to snuff?!?!?!?!   ~

Where will the thread be for the urls?  I'll look over in announcements/links.
