The story of a girl
Her future oh so bright
She made good decicions
She knew wrong from right

From across the classroom
A boy flashed her a smile
"He can't be looking at me"
She said with much denial

He called her after school
And asked her for a date
Of course she said yes
She could hardly wait

When the night came,
He seemed so delighted
When he picked her up,
She was so excited

He took her away
To a deserted lot
She became uneasy
He said "Worry not"

He started to touch her
In ways she never knew
She quietly said stop
There was nothing she could do

He saw that she was nervuos
In you I must confide
He told her that he loved her
How could he have lied?

Finally she gave in
And when he was all done
He took her home and said
"I'll call you hun"

She went into the house
And waited for his call
But it never came
Her tears she couldn't stall

Now she's all alone
With a baby on the way
Whatever will she do?
This debt she can't repay

He won't return her calls
He says he doesn't care
He never really loved her
Her heart she can't repair

The story of a girl
Who can no longer fight
She had so many dreams
Of which she has lost sight

She has lost her way
Lost she will remain
The story of a girl
Alone with all her pain

Date rape is a very serious issue. Be aware that it happens and try to educate loved ones that it can happen to you.

Very sad....I see lots of this in my profession, babies babies because they believed what they were told

Poignant, sad, and very unfortunately all too common.

This is a difficult subject and you handled it well. Teach them young that they have the power. I hope that is enough.

Awareness is the only cure. Parents need to take the time and also need to show enough love at home so that innocent young girls are not so willing to accept it elsewhere.

Amen to that! Awareness is the key, let's educate our youth!

We need to do something about these kinds of things!! They are soo real and happen way too often!!

It IS a matter of a good christian foundation starting at birth. Your title says it all. Broken dreams and lives. Good and to the point.

Kids believe that things like this could never happen to them.  Me being only 17, I once believed that things like that couldn't happen to me.  Anything can happen!
