I never saw it
quite that way before,
saffron cheeks just resting
for a moment on the hill,
an old Jack-O-Lantern
sagging into November,
dots of trees silhouetted
like a day's growth
on an upper lip.
It tickled me
to see such majesty
turned comic,
and I had to write this poem
for the smile in me.

Sad for the Jack 'O' Lantern but this was a cute poem nonetheless. They do kinda sag into November don't they?

The imagery in this one is great
