Return & Leave

When I see you coming towards me,
my mind, again, envisions the sea.
As you come towards me even more,
so does the wave to the shore.

You become larger, as does the wave,
mounting higher and higher, as does the wave.
You pass me again, you pass me once more,
the wave breaks, crashes, and leaves my shore.

Some day you will finally look at me,
and from my mind will leave the sea.
With you, Iíll forget the lore,
of the wave coming, and leaving my shore.

"With you, Iíll forget the lore,

Love this line, Sunshine. Such beautiful imagery...the sound of breakers echoed their memory of shattered waves and dreams. Wow.

Sunshine,
This is a deep poem and expresses a deep longing. Nice one.

it would be nice if they could either stay or go...the back-and-forth becomes sickening
