A poem is a mother's love, the stars above. Real as a broken heart which cannot heal. A poem should reveal thy thought as passions sought, A poem should be genuine as child's infectious grin, showing thoughts inferred, admitting yet concealing behind written word to bring triumphant joy and wrenching sorrow, hopes for the 'morrow. A poem should reveal thy thought as passions sought. A poem should make you think, a link, connecting heart and mind, to seek and then to find escape. A beacon's light on city's scape. A poem should be tragic, magic. A poem should be real. Feel. written with my daughter Kimberly. |
