A bird sat in the top of my Willow tree,
Singing at the top of his voice,
As I walked under him, he crapped on me,
At that I didn't rejoice.

I looked out the window and happened to see,
A dog cock his leg by my willow tree,
At wetting the tree, he was quite adept,
And that is why me and the willow wept.

Toerag: I've read this several times this morning... and like it more each time I read it... It can be taken as comedy or tragedy... an explanation for the weeping of a willow tree or lament to a real lousy morning! *G* Smiles with sad overtones... and absolutely delightful! Well done!

Of course, my interpretations could be as full of crap as that noisy bird! LOL

hmmm....I was told that being bullseyed by a bird was good-luck and as far as the dog with the tree? It is simply the nature of things. Still, it brought a smile on this Monday morning....Thanx.

Much in agreement with Suthern there! Brought a smile, and can be taken quite a few different ways! Hmmn, well done Toe!

Toerag, dear, I am that Willow tree
If you have pity, have pity for me
I am the one with bird claws clinging
So tight to my limbs, my trunk is ‘ringing
I am the one who stinks of pee
If you have pity have pity on ME

Gee, Toe, you should be used to getting crapped on by now. It follows with the natural progression of Life...hehe...I'm back, by the way.

c'mon, Toe - admit it - it wasn't the dog making the willow weep - you got caught by a bird doing the deed
