A heart has wings and so it can fly,
across the miles of land worn and dry.
to touch a heart, a soul so dear,
With a wish for him to be near.
A friend to lean on and to give me strength,
One who I know will go to great length.
To dry my tears and right all the wrongs.
Done to my bleeding soul and so it belongs,
to the soulmate I know but have never seen.
The friend I have longed for but what does it mean?
To love so intensly but from afar.
Just know I am with you where ever you are.

This is beautiful! Very well done! For the title, I'm not sure, how about 'The Heart's Journey', or 'Wherever You Are'? Lovely, lovely poem.

Marilyn, I thought this a wonderful piece.
I think "A Heart Has Wings" would be a most fitting title.

Micheal.....I am thrilled that you like this piece. Again I have to thankyou for taking the time to look at my work and tell me what I can do to improve myself. I will take the title suggestion into consideration.
