(let us possess one world
each hath one
and is one...J.D)

You

Me

You

and I

No distance
but the distance

of space

That thunderstorm
you thrilled in
insignficant
next to the roaming
one
in me

for you
my quiet one

have
roared
so
loudly

I hear nothing
but your voice

You

Me

Separately
together

entwined
in truth

Peace
in
a
raging storm
shelters
me

as

rage
in
a
peaceful room
consumes me

My world
so incomplete
yet
so full

of you

of
only you

You
who has
so much
of me

Very nice Severn, like the short lines style...not one I have ever been good at but admire in others! :-)

And how is one supposed to respond when his eyes are tearing up and the screen becomes a little blurry?
The feeling inside my heart at this moment are akin to the storm you speak of, as well as the contradiction of the peace which you also spoke of.
Ahh girl, 'tis ever such with us, the contradictions. But that is why we are so together, even though we are apart.
This one sparked a bright hope in my heart, knowing that you miss me as much as I you.
Thank you my star!

Thankyou Beki! Short poems can be hard to write indeed sometimes!

My inspiration -You are so welcome - one day I hope I don't have to write poems such as this for you. I'll write ones saying how happy I am that we're no longer apart instead!!

Isn't it amazing how love from a distance can affect one's poetry? This is a very captivating piece, Severn. Feeling I relate to well.

My poet friends: Glad and not glad you can all relate! Glad that I'm not alone in this feeling, not glad for the same reason!!!!!
One day, my friends, one day.....

"Peace in a raging storm shelters me as
rage in a peaceful room consumes me". I love the contradiction!

Severn: Three times I've picked this up to respond to and each time I was at a loss for words...so much my heart could say ...I love the storms and the magic of sharing them...here's hoping the tempest is all it should be as you ride the storms together..
