Shielded in your eyes is the light received
Successor to the stars now extinguished.
A long time ago you were hope conceived:
Your's is a moment held and distinguished.

Finding favor among hushed dragonflies,
Faeries in disguise, their magic assigned
Your light dances free with mermaid sighs
As the moon to the night is now resigned.

You have wasted no tears on Friday's child.
For in your eyes is her clear tomorrow
Wrested from realms both of magic and wild
A future which blooms and holds no sorrow.

Although earthbound, which heaven now resents,
Your light was engendered by sun's descent.
