A man sits in wait, he says I wonder what is
keeping her, for me she's never been late.

It has been 6 long years, he wonders if she
will be there, maybe I am wrong he said, it has been so long since I've felt her touch,
or stroked her hair.

He sat there waiting, sitting on that bench,
his insides twisting, like the turning of
a wrench.

At once he could see her from the corner of his eye, he looked at her, and hung his head,
as if he were going to cry.

He looked at her standing at the gate, then
their eye's met, and at that very moment all
was left to fate.

He asked, how are the children? I have not
seen them for awhile, she replied happily
they are fine, as she looked at him, and
smiled.

They were all with me just a moment ago,
they told me to tell you they love you, and
to say hello.

This is dedicated to my Grandfather who we
lost 11/8/89, and also to my grandmother
who we lost 3/20/95, all of our love until we
see you again.

What a beautiful tribute to your grandparents. It bought tears to my eyes. Very lovely.

Yes, I know that pain very well. You also expressed it so beautifully.
