With one glass of chardonnay
Stars appear dull and red
Surely there is misfortune ahead.
One glass or a bottle, the price is the same:
All you were have known, one soul.
Then trade ten young asses, one denarius
For trifling lies.
It is the time of the eighth sign.
Entering through open door
A shadow guise crosses
Over a well-traveled line
While Clio and Thalia conspire.
It is a night of hallow fire.
Demons and Sisters of Mercy both know
The bartender will serve another round
And with one small draught
Taken between soft parted lips
One knows the color of sin.
Stars appear dull and red
Surely there is misfortune ahead
But the awaiting dawn calls

Just go ahead.
