SIREN

Along the uncertain lines of the salty, salty sea
I first saw your eyes of sparkling golden green
before me sharp like fire, strong and free-spirited like me.
You were a trance,a siren,a sweet,exotic wine
blended on the inside with a brazen current, lustful and fine
and hiding an ancient allure forever untouched by time.
You possesed a potent drug within your virile, adolescent face
that took me by the heart and soul into some celestial place,
redolent of the dreams that visit me,then leave without a trace.
Such undying beauty you gave my lonely, unloved heart,
a sanctuary for my life,an inspiration for my art
and as we kiss with impassioned grace,we know that we must part
I will keep in my mind your resplendent face and your lovely, soothing words,
your voice will echo through my ears and though my despondent world.
and your smile will stay with me forever, killing the woman inside the girl.
