Lightning strikes,
as my body becomes weaker,
I can no longer fight.
Tears roll down my cheeks,
everynight as I try to sleep.
I cry on the inside,
as I laugh on the outside.
I wish this was the end,
I wish I could fall asleep,
and never wake up again.
I feel like a fake,
I don't know how much more
of this I can take.
On the outside I try
to look fierce,
but in reality my soul
has already been pierced.
When I speak there's
always a shield,
but what's on this paper
is how I really feel.
The day I stop breathing,
will be the happiest day of my life.
Then I will be free,
and will no longer have
to fight this fight.
I don't know what to do anymore,
as I lay here crying on the floor.

Your'e doing precisely what you should be doingdo i.e,expressing yourself (to yourself and others).Depression is fought off via activity -both mental and physical. Each time you try you win a battle.Keep fighting the war and for sure, keep on writing...keep on reaching-inwardly and outwardly.
You're needed.
Good work.

Trynete..I'm glad you are able to express these feelings in words. I hope you soon have better days ahead.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints in our heart and we are never ever the same.

Thank you all for leaving footprints!!
