Knights Do Exist

Awaken still cold heart of mine
Love beckons to warm the soul
An angel has pierced the veil
Of fortresses erected long ago

Fair skin and fiery hair
Eyes deep and beautiful brown
A cherub's voice from her mouth
Passion burns deep within her

Time marches through centuries
One crusade to win another to go
The knight galloped across ages past
Rescuing maidens and slaying dragons

Modern day, no chivalry left
I scoff to say its not true
The knight still gallops across time
And appears when you're in need

He lifts his facade of armor shell
Exposes his heart to you
Your soft touch melts him
And he bends to kiss your hand

A mighty warrior is the knight
Has battled evil to survive
And the angel is his to love
She loves him and he knows.

Smiles...nicely done. I'm not sure knights are all they are cracked up to be though...remember they raided villages, raped women and not to mention...that armor gets a bit cool in the wintertime

Anyway, I did like this, well written
