Staring at the wall
silence all around -
I hear the tick tock of the clock...
that's the only sound.

Photo in my hand
Tears are on my cheek -
I need you here with me tonight...
You are what I seek.

Your eyes, pierce my soul
- asking for so much -
why do I feel inadequate...
to heal you with my touch?

Silence everywhere
will tomorrow die?
Put your ear up to my soul, and
listen to it cry...

Blood is running cold
Eyes that cry no more -
Please know that in your hand's my heart...
True love to you, I swore.

You truly are my peace -
Content with you, I sigh...
Is it your turn - to be our strength ?
Alone here now, I die.

*** Just missing you tonight...Michael.
*** With all my love....Gennifer

So sad! But beautiful. It's great that you've found each other here - life is strange isnt' it..you log on, never knowing who you'll meet or how they will affect your life.

Gennifer....very well written and I know how you feel. I hope soon you will hold him in your arms and not just in your heart.

Femme,
This is so sweet and so sad. I am always with you, Femme, even while we're apart. You have been my strength, you have lifted me up...so shall I be your strength, and hold you in your need. All my love with you, too.

Michael

Thanks girls for your support and understanding - just feeling really "blue" tonight...too quiet in the house, no one warm to hold....(kids are in bed)
Michael has honestly made a difference in my life, even from a distance...I try to imagine what he could do if he were close....unimaginable!! Glad you saw the beauty through the tears.....

To Michael...I'm glad you're holding me in spirit...I can sleep now, peacefully. *** kisses

Thanks to you too Chris...didn't mean to include you with "the girls"....we were posting at the same time... Thanks for the sappy smile, and for the extra encouragement of my being adequate...sometimes I really wonder. Even the strongest have to hang their heads to rest ...I say.

gosh femme, you just have such a way of expressing yourself, one can not read your poems without feeling every emotion that you pour into them, very beautiful!

I loved this Gen.. especially this line

..Silence everywhere
will tomorrow die?
Put your ear up to my soul, and
listen to it cry...

You echo my feelings right now.. though different emotions right now.. this line fits perfectly

Email me.. I need my friend!

I am more than willing to be grouped with the Ladies in order to respond to this piece, my dear.
This seems to honestly mirror my own thoughts today, as do many of the words from you and Michael in the replies above. Michael's words echo exactly what I feel for my own Lady.

Isn't love such sweet misery and warmth? Wonderful contradiction to which my pen is even now birth to a verse for and about. pFF, you have blown my mind many times but this is the first time you have both moved and echoed my heart.

Gennifer, this was marvelous. You expressed your love, and loneliness with such emotion. I hope you two get together soon, even though the strength the two of you have together from your poems is stronger then some marriages.

Femme, I love this and feel so honored to watch so much happiness bloom. Even the sad times are worth bearing for the right one in your life

Ooh Femme...so painfully beautiful..your emotions truly bleed through your words. And that takes real talent. Keep it up.
