Canadian Wild

I would if I could, take a touch of black
a bit of white and gray on my back,
feathers and soft down to make me soar,
and then I would ask for one thing more.

I would if I could, take my forever love
and wing with him ever so high above
tenderly calling out to my lifeís mate
together in life, then at heavenís gate.

I would if I could, be this creature
for this lovely bird has a special feature
the geese mate for life, up to heavenís door
and for a lifeís love, Iíd not ask anything more.

Thank you all for leaving footprints!!

Sunshine I loved it! It touched me. This was awesome. Well written. But I can't really explain, I was in awe!

I loved this! I had forgotten that little
piece of trivia about our feathered friends,
gee what would this world be like if humans
had that kind of loyalty?

Love this Sunshine. Canadian geese are really lovely birds - there are a lot of birds/animals that mate for life..wolves also right?
