Femme-fatal

She struck me a Medusa's cast
Thrown in a blast of icy stare
That froze me like an icicle
Upside down in the winters air.

I could not turn or run or dodge
Nor could I beg or move as prey
I could only feel frigid eyes
That would not let me melt away.

She's froze the tailings of my heart
Tattooed her image on my eyes.
Wicked in their consequence
It's a hell of a way to die.

And now my essence stands condemned
Compressed in icy form to wait
Unable too utter warning cries
To future souls drawn to her gate.

Rooted solid in white frostbite
Left with only dreams at night.

Now Seymour, you and I have to talk....Please tell me this isn't about me ! I have always only admired you and your talents! Tell me I have never hurt you in this frigid way.....maybe this was a poem with no relation to me, but the title obviously caught my eye....and now I sit here and wonder !!?? E-mail me if you wish to....please? Curiosity is pulsing through my veins!

My my ... sounds like a few of the ladies from my old neighborhood ... LOL

Really, Seymour, this is great ... it really painted a picture for me ... "tatooed her image on my eyes ... it's a hell of a way to die"

Wonderful, as usual ...

Sey- loved "I could only feel frigid eyes
That would not let me melt away."
well done...
PFF- I doubt it was about you...your words have a tendency to be on the "warmer" side!

Magnificent Sey!

PFF,
This was a tongue in cheek fun poem. I love you and love your writing. It is a revised poem that I wrote some time ago. You are and always will be a pff to me. *L*

Well, if indeed this was posted for FemmeFatale, I heed your warnings Seymour but am quite compelled to take my chances. She may be the death of us all - but oh, what a way to go. Seriously, I think I have met the woman you did write this about. Good poem.

Hoot and Michael,
Didn't expect to get into trouble with this poem. Forgot about pFF's non de plume. This poem had nothing to do with her. Wouldn't want to rouse the queen Bee.

Well, I think it's accurate, Sy. When you're turned to ice you're hard and stiff, no? PFF can certainly do that to a man without breaking a sweat.

You are all too sweet ! If I was Mormon, I'd marry each and every one of you ! he he he (kidding) One man is all I can handle at a time. That would be near fatal! Although, this gives me inspiration for a poem in Adult....LOL Sure love all my fans !! ****curtsies and hugs all !

pFF and Balladeer,
I didn't think turning to ice could be so much fun. I'm glad I posted it now. Love you all.
