She held my hand
as we walked
to the fair,
laughing,
with her head
held high
and nary
a care.
The cold
autumn morning,
overcast and storming,
couldn’t cause despair,
while
her heartwarming
smile
made every mile
fly
beneath my feet.
She
makes me complete
and whole
you know,
I guess
it’s true
that you reap
what you sow.

I can’t believe
she’ll be gone
in the morning.
will our
new-found love
die aborning?
Wonders abound
with the love
I’ve found.
Overwhelmed
by desire
that climbs
ever higher,
I soon found,
by love
I was bound
and had
no desire
to win myself free.
God
bless this life
and it’s majesty.

I'm smiling!! Your happiness means much to me, you know! Keep the faith...it will not let you down.

Having read a fair number of you works I sit here in awe. Yes your word usage is great, the emotion is there, the poetry flows coherently. But what makes my jaw drop to the floor is the fact that you are so versatile. You seem to have full command over all forms and styles of poetry whether they be short concise lines or cycling poetry. My hat is off. I have much to learn.

Shucks I don't know how I missed this one! To envision you floating off your feet, on love cloud #9. What a treat it is! Good poem too!
