Listening to every heart

Illusions’ Dreams

Once there came this bright illusion
albeit a fallacy to my heart,
I fell for its deep deception
the delusions tore me apart.

Wonderment came with the chimera
and strong belief in the fantasy;
Awake would I from the hallucination,
away with the delusion from me.

This damn poor bit of humbuggery
this hocus pocus of the heart
ne’ermore the falseness for me,
from this mirage I shall depart.

That figment of imagination,
that trick of love’s daydreams
the errors seen in the machinations
are only that, a dream.

Another good one! What are you eating out there on the farm? If it helps you create this kind of poetry, I want some too!

PdV, any compliment from you means I've done did a pretty good job. As far as eating...perhaps the diet I'm on has brought out the hallucinations indeed!

Again, I'm s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g!

Thanks!

Sunshine,
I really enjoyed the "language" you used in
this. Original and refreshing!

Sunshine,
Good poem, bad dream, good solution, bad illusion. *L*

Another grand one from Sunshine...no stretch of my imagination needed to know you're a great poet

Beautiful piece, sunshine.
But never stop dreaming o.k.

"Yet if Hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream."

This is my one of my forms of exercise: take a word, grab the thesaurus, and make something logical out of words that have basically the same meaning.

Try it: it's fun!
