Blue

A poet's composition

Winner of ribbons

Colored in blue

Could not express

The pain of the morning

When you left me

The rain sliding down

The window panes

Tears for a connection

Severed without ceremony

Buried without a grave

You offered no other

Gesture than silence

But the look in your

Eyes told me all

It is penned in my mind

With indelible ink

A poet's composition

Winner of ribbons

Colored in blue

Thank you all for your kind responses.

And yes, Michael...I needed to hide my maniacal ravings...*LOL*

Thanks all...your comments mean so much.

Hoot...you did reply, but to the first post, which I had Nan remove (bless her heart) due to the WAR between Michael, Master and myself...which, btw...I WON!!! Thanks for reposting...you're a sweetie

you won??? I didn't know... but how? I was on the top and then all of the sudden... ohhh it's terrifying! This is the first time I've ever been defeated... oh well at least I lost to a great writer with a great poem! Loved it, Caroline!
