letting go

on that day I knew
your sun would never rise
to fade away in blue
would be your disguise
present cannot change
what happenned in the past
as long as you hold on
the pain will always last
I had a driven desire
that burned deep within my heart
to be the one you wanted
to be your love, to be a part
but I can also realize
what was just a fantasy
I know the one you wanted
simply was not me
so i bid you farewell
and the dream will end
but you will always be
my dear and closest friend

Tinged with sadness, but still quite lovely...
