Feel My Hand Upon Your Heart

When pine trees quiver with the wind's caress,
Their needles trembling in the dark;
When you need a woman's tenderness,
Then feel my hand upon your heart.

When starlight silvers the trembling bough
And wood-shadows dance together, apart;
When moonglow falls on your weary brow,
You'll feel my hand upon your heart.

When darkness gathers and sleep would claim you,
when loneliness lingers and love seems far,
I'll reach across the miles to warm you -
Just feel my hand upon your heart.

Another compliment on a job well done. Being a native Californian, now transplanted, you've made me again hear the pine boughs sing.
