Feel My Hand Upon Your Heart
When pine trees quiver with the wind's caress,
Their needles trembling in the dark;
When you need a woman's tenderness,
Then feel my hand upon your heart.
When starlight silvers the trembling bough
And wood-shadows dance together, apart;
When moonglow falls on your weary brow,
You'll feel my hand upon your heart.
When darkness gathers and sleep would claim you,
when loneliness lingers and love seems far,
I'll reach across the miles to warm you -
Just feel my hand upon your heart.

"We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion.....the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?"
--John Keating, Dead Poets Society
