I learned a few new tricks that I want to share with you.
In case your in financial strain and don’t know what to do.
First you send an unsigned check to the electric company.
Of course, you’ll then sit in the dark, but don’t go blaming me.

Then you send the check for the telephone to the car finance man
of course, they will cut the phone off, and repo the family van.
But you can take the extra money and go shopping at the grocery store.
But they won’t let you buy anything, they won’t take your checks anymore.

When they call from the bank, and say your checks are bouncing now
you just act real stupid and ask the man to explain just how.
"What do you mean I’m out of money you must be wrong, hey what the heck?"
"I still have money in the bank…cause just look, I still have checks."

Now you got it going on!
I like the solution much better, myself.
Spend, spend, spend...and then spend some more.
Remember, when you die - it's not who owns the most who wins - it's he who owes the most.

Good poem Lucie,

Michael

Lucie,
I tried those tricks before, and to my surprise they managed to cash them just the same. I thought I was buying time, when all I was buying was insufficent funds fee's. Have faith life does get better, at least I pray it does for you.

Yanno Lucie?...I remember when I first opened my camera shop/studio....money was tight....every penny was needed, and bill collectors would be calling all the time. I would answer the phone in my very best "Chinese Dialect Type Voice"..and say; "Who? Mista Toelag?...He not here...he in Guam, be back in two month..this Wang the Gaddener (Gardener), me take message?

Lucie: I sure hope it gets better soon... but I love your use of humor to handle a miserable situation!

And swapping those checks just doesn't work. *G* My ex once (accidentally, honest! *G*) sent the rent check to Sears... and they cashed it. Suddenly we had a $400 credit at Sears and threats of eviction??? LOL. Not fun... Hang in there!

Lucie, been there, done that. Imagine to my surprise, things are much better now, but I still "act" as if I'm broke and owing. You're in my prayers, dear, that you get out of that spot, and more or less to where I am, someday.

It will happen.

Lucie, loved the poem! I certainly understand where you're coming from. Get through today. Then tomorrow...then before you know it things will be better!
