Time is racing with the night
Tick by tick
Shades and shadows conquer light
Tack by tack

And my pen will never rest
Tick by tick
Broken heart beats in my chest
Tack by tack

Everything begins to change
Tick by tick
Night is acting on the stage
Tack by tack

I’m becoming sore and weak
Tick by tick
The sky turns dim and black
Tack by tack

I fall asleep upon my back
Tick by tick
And my dreams seem so unique
Tack by tack

Now I do not hear the clock
Tick and tack
