God, I want a hundred billion dollars,
Please grant this wish for me.
I want to purchase happiness,
For all of those in need.

I want to buy a school,
Where kids would never fear,
Hire the greatest teachers and,
Start each class with prayer.

I want to buy some houses,
For the homeless on the street,
Food for all the hungry,
Nourishment for the weak.

I want to make a different world,
We've ruined this one so bad,
Guess we've not appreciated,
Everything we had.

People suffering and in despair,
The news is grim most every day,
TV's all sex and violence,
Our morals are in decay.

So grant this wish for me dear God,
I'll use the money in your name,
Well, I may buy myself one little Porsche,
But I'll put "God" on the license plate.

Ahhh, sweet Toe... will you put your name on that list of those to receive happiness? *G* And make it the lasting kind... not such that will be marred by the Porsche's first flat tire? LOL.

Wonderful poem!!! How I wish your prayer could come true... you'd need that Porsche to speed you from good deed to good deed! *G*

Lovey: But you know he wouldn't want people to think he was referring to himself as God... so that license plate would probably read "In God we trust!" *G*

Well, well, well. And you say your stuff sucks? On the contrary, if I spelled that right. LOL I wish I could do the same, but I have this problem of not having enough money either. God knows your heart Toe! Be careful what you wish for you might just get it...though I don't think you'll get the porche, you'd get in too much trouble. LOL
Great JOB!!!!!!

I have no doubt that you would do wonderful work, much like this piece here. Unfortunately I don't think any amount of money would get the job done... and only a Porsche? God deserves at the least a BMW top end luxury sedan.

Ain't fooling me. You want that money for a membership in "Hair Club for Men" for a little touch-up!

Good poem, Toe. I'll have to try free verse sometime!

Rip you, my cohort and valued friend? How can you even think I would consider such a thing? Your simplicity and ignoramity are very special to me. Since you are pleading, however, I can see that, as a true friend, it my my duty to accomodate you. In words you can understand....watch yore ass, buster!

btw...my mane is long and thick, befitting a Leo...no little bald spot in the back, like some I know......and what IS a professor of photography, anyway, sort of like a Kodak King or sumpthin'?

Toe, if it was from you or LJA, calling it strange is redundant! LOL

ROFL @ the responses... this place is definitely the answer to one prayer! *S*

Great job toe!
But that part about "morals in decay..." isn't that like the pot calling the kettle...

You make me laugh more than you know Toerag but you almost got me to tears with this one.
You've touched some pretty healthy issues here. What ever happened to starting class with prayer anyway?
