Storm

Cool crisp
tropical breeze
creating goosebumps
chilling nose
evoking sneeze

Angry sky
crying tears
knee high puddles
tremoring fears

Trees arching
exceeding pressure
cracks echoing
devastation marching

Avoiding landfall
skirting coast
gathering stream
creeping crawl

Tidal waves
overtake land
toppling piers
digging graves

Days looming
threatening lives
escaping turmoil
extreme assuming

Flooded aftermath
trees uprooted
boarded homes
surviving wrath

Bright sunshine
drying sponge
soaked ground
storms gone
wonderful sign.

"Angry sky
crying tears
knee high puddles
tremoring fears"

Sounds like you may have been breakfast
for Hurricane Floydd?
Enjoyed the read. Nice work!

Another flew the stormy seas;
Another set an unarmed world aflame,
One found the germ of a disease.
But what high fates my path attend;
For I-today-I found a friend.

Very nicely done! Floyd there took a turn, thankful he didn't do as much devastation as he could of.

Thanks to all of you, just thought since the storm was affecting the whole East Coast that I would put a little something together about it. I have to say Floyd kept everyone guessing, thank God he's gone. He did manage to take a poor older womens life here near where I live, by falling a tree onto her car.

Very nice, LD - I'm happy to say Floyd passed over me as a mere tropical storm - Must have been your input.....
