It Starts With

The crunch of gravel.
The back and withdraw.
The purr of the motor.
The close of the door.

The tone of the turn.
The beam of the lights.
The moan of the wind.
The closure of night.

The weight of boredom.
The blues and the mews.
The touching of sleep.
The fight and refuse.

The long way there.
The length of the track.
The humbling truth.
With no way back.

Oh this is good. I can see the bags packed, the tears, everything. Very, very good.

with no way back."
Excellent!

Sunshine and pepper,
I am amazed you dug this one up but appreciate the effort. It was one of my mood poems. Thank you both again.

Sy, I never see you repost, but perhaps it's time you brought this up to 12? So many would relate.....
