We were the best of friends Nothing nor no one could tear us apart We laughed with each other Cried with each other We did everything together Time has passed And look at us now What happened? I don't understand I try to reach out But I can only catch air I try so hard but yet I can't reach you We're so close Yet so far Why did things have to change We barely talk No Hi's or Good-bye's Just empty smiles But what good is a smile if its not from within Its something fake Something that's meaningless How did it come to this conclusion? Was it me? Did I ignore you? Was I too late in replying back? Or was it you? Did you just give up on our friendship? You were a model to me Someone that I can look up to Someone that I can follow under their footsteps I still look up to you, but now its from far away I hope we return to the friendship we once had Because I miss our late night chats The laughs, the cries And most of all just being with you. ------------------ -WonderWoman |
