Of late I've heard it said
That sheep have made their bed
With one of our poetic dears
Our honorable Balladeer

Of animal husbandry I know next to little about
But such a bestial combination made scientists shout
"Sweaters are fine but you can't wear that ewe
No such attire can we allow you!"

The long arm of the law they called to investigate
Suthern and Long John Silver each had stories to state
And they both pointed to a secluded Florida farm
Where by SWAT was dispatched to keep the sheep from further harm

Surrounding the building the police heard such a strange sound
The likes of which only in X-rated movies can be found
Not sure of the horrors they would face
They prepared themselves to storm the place

When finally they came to foil the wooly crime
It was not our dear bard that they found making time
But the one who started the false rumors in rhyme
That silly Toerag and Betsy the blow-up bovine

And the moral is... never trust LJA when he's trying to save all the sheep for himself!

suther: I'm just not going to go there. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not.

Mr. Cucumber: I don't think I want to visit that vegetable patch. Something about talking squash just makes me a little uneasy.

Toe: Sorry man... just couldn't let this one pass. Hey, if it really comes down to it can you make sure its kosher. Not that I'm Jewish but you would never eat a regular pickle again if you knew what was to be found in a pickle factory.

WhtDove: Yes I fear I've stepped into the fray but I'm loaded for bear... make that Toe.

suthern: I would never stab somebody in the back, I don't care to get that close to my victims.

Lady Hoot: Thanks. Such were my intentions.

Finally I've been vindicated!! It was that dairy fairy Toe that started the whole thing, like I always said. Thank you, Andrew, for bringing this fact to light. I am beginning to see why they named a hurricane after you. Well done!

Sir Balladeer: I figured it was time to hop off the fence and get into the thick of things. I'm sure I'll regret it somehow, but I just couldn't remain neutral. There's nothing like a good food fight to get those poetic juices flowing. You da Man! And my arsenal is at your command. Just keep the sheep away… I'm allergic to wool.

Dragoness: Thanks for the cheer… I got a feeling I'm going to need all the support I can get, because it's starting to look pretty ugly down here.

Elizabeth: Funny you should say that. Keep a look out for my next post… it promises to fit the bill.

Nan: Sorry! I tried to stay out of it... I really, really did. I feel so dirty now. See what you guys did, you got me in trouble! Worst part of it is, I don't even have a pass-word to get into the adult section. My wife wouldn't let me go anyway. If I promise to keep it clean, can I stay? Please…
