I imagined I could paint my world
as I wanted it to be.
And with the stroke of a boundless brush
create a tapestry.

To see each special colour lend
prominence to hue.
To watch my cherished hopes
as they blossom into view

And in the end, my sense of pride
would on the canvas gleam.
While I the artist basked in glory
of my painted dreams.

Thank you everyone for your remarks. The funny thing is, this poem was born out a short story I am currently writing with the same name.

Glad you liked it. : )
