Hindsight

“Come into my room,”
Said the spider to the fly.
Like the fly,
I was intrigued by the invitation,
Lured by your smile;
Then trapped in your web.
I entered willingly,
But there ended my free will.
Funny how long it took me to realize
I was a captive in this place,
And not a guest.
Had I recognized the danger,
I would not have entered,
Would not have let down my guard.
Hindsight is 20/20...
Or so I’ve been told.

It really is Ruth. I see many things more clearly today then I did yesterday. Great work, by the way I know that fly today and I'm happy to say she flys free and true.

Hoot,
That must be one angry spider.
Wonderful poem.

Lady Hoot: As you've stated in the past, not everyone fingures it out the first time around. 20/20? I guess in some cases it depends on if you wear glasses or not. And sometimes it just aint worth a damn. I like this bit of work, as I do all that I read by your hand. Thanks for sharing all that you do.

Hoot another work of art from you!!! I have felt trapped in that web at one time too! Metamophsis, or transfermation, may you be that dove flying free!

Seymore and Whtdove thank you very much

Andrew...I'm blushing, thanks for your kind words and you are so right, hindsight isn't always 20/20....if we don't learn from our mistakes it can be very farsighted!!

Sis, how many times have both of us entered that web? Thank goodness you are there by my side to pull me back out. Your writing style seems to be changing a little bit. Makes for a very interesting read. Keep up the great work. Always so proud to call you sis!
